Landscaping in Langhorne, Bucks County
Ten years inside the same twelve miles.
You learn a county by returning to it. Which streets flood in a hard rain. Which soil sets like brick around a new root ball. Which gardens the deer come back to every February. None of that is in a catalog. So before anybody talks about price, we walk the property with you and say plainly what is happening on it — what is urgent, what can wait a year, and what you do not need at all.
Or just call — (215) 555-0100. A person picks up, not a menu.
What People Actually Call About
Tell us what it looks like. We will tell you what it is.
Most people do not call a landscaper because they want landscaping. They call because something is wrong and they cannot name it. Here is what that usually turns out to be.
“Water gets in the basement when it rains.” Usually the downspout or the grade, not the foundation. If it is coming up through the slab, that is a waterproofing contractor’s job, and not ours.
“The patio has gone wavy.” It failed underground, years before you saw it. Lifting one section answers whether it can be relaid or has to come out.
“The grass dies every August.” Usually shallow roots, from watering a little every day instead of deeply and less often. Or grubs — if the dead patch rolls back like carpet, that is what it is.
“The shrubs have swallowed the front of the house.” Decades of shearing over a hollow middle. Most of it comes back over two seasons for a fraction of replacement. Junipers do not.
“The mulch keeps washing away.” Usually because it is already too deep. On a lot of properties the first job is taking material off, not putting more on.
“The deer eat everything I plant.” North and east of Langhorne that is not bad luck. It should decide the plant list before anything goes in the ground.
That brown strip along the driveway every March is salt damage, not winter kill. Nobody calls about that one. We mention it anyway.
Our Standing Promise
Four things we will not get wrong
Anyone can cut grass. Ten-plus years in this trade tells you a landscaping job goes wrong at four predictable places: the first call, the price, the schedule, and the week after the crew has gone. One promise for each.
I.
We answer, or we call back the same day
Call during business hours and a person answers. Miss us and you hear back the same day — not next week, not never.
II.
A written estimate within one business day
Itemized and in writing after we walk your property, so you can see exactly what you are paying for. No vague numbers scribbled on a card.
III.
You know the day before we arrive
A message the day before every visit. If weather moves us, you hear that too — before you notice we are not there.
IV.
If it is not right, we come back
Tell us within a week of the work and we return to make it right. No argument, no invoice for the trip.
What We Do
The same standard on a mulch bed as on a patio
Cedars Ridge does the mowing and Cedars Ridge does the stonework. You should not need two contractors and a project manager to look after one property.
Lawn Care & Maintenance
Weekly mowing, edging, fertilization, weed and grub control, aeration and overseeding. Cut high through the summer heat and never scalped — the unglamorous work that decides how a property looks all year.
Landscape Design & Installation
Planting plans built for Bucks County clay, deer pressure, and real winters — designed so the property looks better in year five than year one.
Patios, Walkways & Walls
Paver patios, natural stone walkways, retaining walls, steps, and fire pits. Built on proper base depth, so they sit flat a decade later.
Mulch & Bed Maintenance
Crisp cut edges, weeded beds, and mulch laid at the right depth — thick enough to hold moisture, never piled against the trunks.
Spring & Fall Cleanups
Leaves off, beds cut back, gutters clear, everything hauled away. Booked on a date we hold — not “sometime in November.”
Everything Else
Tree and shrub care, drainage and grading, irrigation, sod, outdoor lighting, snow and ice management. The list stops at the foundation. Inside the house is another trade, and we will say so.
The part of the work you will never see is the part we are strictest about. A patio gets the base depth the soil calls for, not the depth that makes the day go faster. A bed gets plants that will stand the deer and the clay. Water gets somewhere to go before it finds the foundation.
Why The Map Is Small
The same ground, over and over
There is no other way to learn what a property will do.
If the fix is a fifty-dollar downspout extension, we will tell you that. If the water is coming up through the slab rather than in at the walls, that is a waterproofing contractor’s job and we will say so rather than sell you a trench. If your beds are already six inches deep in old mulch, the first job is taking material off, not putting more on.
Every one of those sentences costs us a sale. They are the reason the rest of this page is worth reading.
Cedars Ridge is a Langhorne company, and we mean that narrowly. We work Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and we do not travel more than about twelve miles from home. That is not modesty. It is the whole operating principle. Most of the companies you will compare us against are good, and most of them are close to you as well. The difference is not where the trucks sleep. It is where they are already committed on Tuesday. A company that has sold work in Center City and up in the Lehigh Valley has to be in Center City and in the Lehigh Valley, whatever it meant on the phone in April. We have twelve miles of obligations and none anywhere else, which is why a settled paver gets fixed this week instead of next season.
Staying close also means we know the ground. The heavy clay through Middletown and Lower Makefield that drowns a plant if the hole is dug wrong. The deer that will strip a new bed in Newtown and Washington Crossing down to sticks in one winter. The Levittown lots where the original grading has been quietly sending water at a foundation for seventy years.
What we sell is the same list every good landscaper in the county sells. Mowing, mulch, design, patios, cleanups, drainage, snow. Any of them will name that list for you. Fewer of them are still twelve miles away in the season after, when the ground finally tells you whether the work was done right.

“Close enough to know the ground. Close enough to come back.”
How It Works
Four steps, and you always know which one you are on
01
You call or write
If we are running a machine, you hear back the same day — with a real time we can walk the property.
02
We walk it with you
On site, in person, free. We read the grade, the soil and the light, and then you hear it out loud. What needs doing now, what can wait a year, and what you do not need at all. That last category is real, and it is most of what separates one estimate from another.
03
A written estimate
Within one business day, itemized, with a start date. Take your time with it — we will not chase you.
04
We do the work
A message the day before we come. A walk-through when we finish. And if something is off, we are back within a week.
Where We Work
Bucks County. Twelve miles. That is the whole map.
We do not cross into New Jersey and we do not run up to the Lehigh Valley. Every property we care for is inside Bucks County, within about twelve miles of our yard in Langhorne — which is what makes coming back the same week a promise instead of a slogan.

Tell us about your property
Free walk-through, no pressure, and an itemized estimate in writing within one business day. If it turns out the job is not ours, we will tell you that too, and you will not have paid anything to find out. Whatever you decide, you will hear back from us.
